Overview
MTG Tracker & Life Counter is an independent match-tracking and life-counter app for tabletop card games. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, who may receive it, and how users can delete their account and data.
MTG Tracker & Life Counter is not affiliated with Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro, Google, Apple, Supabase, Netlify or any advertising/payment provider unless explicitly stated.
Data We Collect
Depending on how you use the app, we may process the following data:
- Account identifiers, email address, username, Friend ID and authentication provider information.
- Basic Google profile information provided during Google login, such as email address, name and profile image, according to the Google consent screen.
- Players, decks, formats, matches, match participants, winners, statistics, friend relationships, friend requests, player/deck mappings, imports and notifications.
- Feedback submitted through the app and responses to that feedback.
- Legal consent status, premium/ad-free status and related timestamps.
- Local app preferences such as theme, profile image stored locally, collapsed cards, filters, hidden formats, format order and guest-mode data.
How We Use Data
We use data to provide the app, sync accounts, show statistics, support friend-linked match sharing, process imports, manage premium/ad-free status, respond to feedback, prevent abuse, debug errors, maintain security and comply with legal requirements.
We do not sell your match history.
Sharing And Third Parties
Application data is stored using Supabase. The web app is served using Netlify or another hosting provider. Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth and may use Google login.
Match, deck and player data may be visible to linked friends when a game involves mapped players or imported shared records. Each account can keep its own local names, colors and deck mappings, but linked records may refer to the same underlying shared game.
If ads, analytics, crash reporting or payments are enabled, providers such as Google AdSense, Google AdMob, Google Play Billing, Apple in-app purchases or Stripe may process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Local Data And Guest Mode
The app uses browser local storage for interface preferences and guest-mode data. Guest data stays on the device unless you migrate it to a real account. If you clear browser data, uninstall the app, change device, or use guest mode without migration, local-only data may be lost.
Security
We use authenticated access controls, Row Level Security rules, HTTPS and server-side database policies to restrict access to user data. No security system is perfect, but the app is designed so users can only access data permitted by their account, friend links and match-sharing rules.
Retention And Deletion
Data is retained while your account exists, unless you delete records or delete your account. Some technical logs may remain with infrastructure providers for a limited period according to their own retention rules.
You can request account deletion from inside the app under Legal & Data. Deleting your account is intended to permanently remove your profile, players, decks, own matches, friend links, requests, mappings, feedback, notifications, premium flags and login identity where technically possible.
Some data may remain temporarily in provider backups, logs or records required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, payment accounting or store requirements. Friend accounts may keep their own local records where they are the owner or where the app has transferred or retained access as part of unlinking behavior.
Children
MTG Tracker & Life Counter is not intended for children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. Material changes may be shown in the app or on this page.
